Monday

Happy Monday to my wonderful readers!

Today is a good day, despite it being that dreaded M-day, and not only that but a rainy M-day.  Most of my Mondays are horrible and hideous, but today was actually a good day.  Work was just that work, made even more torturous in the fact that I was reading Fifty Shades Freed today and it had gotten to one of the most nail-biting parts of the book right before I had to clock in and so I spent most of my shift agonizing until my break (which eventually came in the last hour of my shift) and I finally got through the toughest part and ultimately ended up finishing the book on my way home.

Now, that I’ve finished that series, I am quite pleased with it (and I’d never, ever thought I would say something positive about a story that got its roots in a Twilight fanfiction).  It also makes me laugh that people have already thrown a bloody fit over these three books, and public libraries are pulling it from their collections.  I can go into my library and pick up a “trashy romance novel” that has little to no character development and less than developed sexual scenes that are so beneath any actual writer, but I can no longer pick up this trilogy that, while some of the writing does get on my nerves, while it has a decidedly less than “vanilla” sexual tone has fantastic story development and makes me actually like the characters.  Personally I will take the story that has been called “mommy porn” over the trashy romance novel any day.  I am more than pleased by this trilogy and I’ve become greatly attached to the characters.

Close-mindedness is some people’s biggest flaw and unfortunately the reason that we have the banned book lists and have good books being pulled from library shelves.  People fear the unknown and they tend to shun things that they fear and do not understand, the sexual tastes of Christian Grey are one of the things that people do not fully understand unless you are a participant in that type of lifestyle.

This is a topic I could probably go on and on about, however, I will not.  I do, however, have an updated review schedule for all you wonderful readers, ready for it?

That, boys and girls is as far as I am going with schedule, and as you know it is bound to change and be altered as my busy life requires.  But, I will be getting these books done as soon as I can.  Also, I will be reading more books from one publisher, as I am going to be added to their list of reviewers – this makes me exceptionally happy!

As for that secret project I’ve got in the works, I’m still trying to get somethings together before I start working on it in earnest.  I promise you this lovelies, you will enjoy it!

Enjoy your Monday!
